Our Biewers are sold by reservation only. We take your name if you are interested and we advise you when we have puppies available. We DO NOT take any deposits until we have puppies available for the client. They are a familiar breed in Germany and many European countries but still a relatively new breed here in Canada and the USA. In Canada they are not considered a pure bred dog by the authorities as they cannot be registered in this country. We are a member of the German Biewer Club and we send a record all of our offspring in Germany! It is a Terrier, but it's standard for colours is different than a standard Yorkie. That is why they are call them the Biewer Yorkshire Terrier a la Pom Pon. They have a breed name of their own. They have their very own standards and those standards must be correct in order for these dogs to be recognized in Germany. Like a Yorkie, they do not shed. They have the closest to human hair. I must say that they are amazing dogs. They are very similar to the temperament of the Yorkshire Terrier. Only Biewers that originated in Germany are true Biewers. Many people mix Yorkies and Maltese together, but they are Morkies, as they call them and not Biewers. This breed originated in 1983 and has been going strong in Germany since then. They are still considered a rare breed and are very difficult to come by. Many German breeders will NOT ship out of the country, you have to travel there to get them. There are many Canadian and American breeders now that can supply quality puppies. We have very good friends who are Biewer breeders in Germany and they have been very helpful in helping us get started with this breed. They are loving, loyal, non shedding dogs. I have found them to be intelligent and very calm and they love everyone and everything! I just cannot say enough about them. So far we are very pleased with the quality and temperament of all of our Biewer dogs! We love our dogs, they live in the house with us, have their own room and are a part of our family! We will sell our puppies with open registration if they are of breeding size, but the male and the female must be purchased from people that we know have the true Biewers. People who want to breed ask to be on our list and we let them know when we have something available. We would hate to see these dogs be bred with Yorkies or end up in the hands of puppy mill people, so we will be very careful as to whom we sell these dogs to. Many of you may be wondering about the price. This is one of the rarest dog breeds in America and the price is considerably higher than a standard Yorkie. The Biewer sells in the range of $1000.00 to $2500.00 as a pet and more if used for breeding. There are a number of considerations in how we price the puppy. It depends on the markings on the body, the lineage of the parents, the estimated adult size, etc. The breed standards shown on this site offer a great deal of details on the Biewer. We are showing standards for the 3 main groups of Biewers: TO VIEW THE BIEWER STANDARDS PLEASE FOLLOW THIS LINK: Biewer A La Pom Pon TO VIEW THE BIRO BIEWER STANDARDS PLEASE FOLLOW THIS LINK: Biro TO VIEW THE GOLDDUST BIEWER STANDARDS PLEASE FOLLOW THIS LINK: Golddust I hope this information has helped you!
